Position Summary:
These positions will install, maintain and repair electrical systems, apparatus and electrical/electronic components. The National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
+ Measure, cut, bend and install conduit, using appropriate equipment
+ Pull electrical wire and cable in conduit using manual and power equipment
+ Move/handle various equipment and spools of wire
+ Install electrical raceways and wire, conduit, lighting fixtures, controls, machinery and electrical distribution equipment under the supervision of an experienced Journeyman
+ Proper care for material, tools and equipment
+ Assist electricians by performing various tasks
+ Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery
+ All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications (Apprentice):
+ Basic understanding of electrical construction
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
+ Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
Required Qualifications (Journeyman):
+ State of Nebraska Journeyman Electrical License
+ OSHA 10 Card
+ Must be able to read blueprints to determine how to best install the components and wiring
+ Functional understanding of Low Voltage systems
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
+ Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
Education and Experience:
+ Some electrical experience preferred (Apprentice)
+ Completion of a state approved apprenticeship with field experience and classroom requirements (Journeyman)
+ Must be able to pass a physical exam, drug screening, background check and must maintain a valid driver’s license
