Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Journeyman Electrician with frontier spirit to support our emergency response camps in Western Canada. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation/dismantling of electrical systems.

Rotation:

12 hour shifts 21 days “on” and 7 days “off” (subject to change based on operational requirements) 

Responsibilities:

Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment Provide input to the Maintenance Supervisor for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.  Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to read drawings and schematics Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
