Summary

Reporting to the Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor, the purpose of the Journeyman Electrician role is to perform electrical installations on industrial equipment throughout the manufacturing facility. The individual will be a Journeyman who has an industrial background with a continual focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position.

NOTE:  This is a night shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts, 5:00pm - 3:00am
 

Principle Responsibilities and Duties Install electrical wiring systems and equipment Read and interpret electrical code specifications Read and interpret wiring schematics Read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings Electrical Maintenance as required Identifying any potential issues through trouble shooting  Participating in, accepting, and adopting the safety principles Experience working on electrical installations in hazardous locations is considered an asset.  Experience installing Rigid Aluminum Conduit is considered an asset.  Experience working on gas compressors and gas plants is considered an asset.  Experience installing building electrical on skid buildings is considered an asset.  Qualifications Possess a valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate Must be able to work with minimal supervision Industrial Electrical Experience Experience operating forklift is an asset Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Organizational and communication skills Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and D&A test is required for this position.   About Us:
