**Hiring Journeyman Electrician in Arlington, TX** Pay: $36.54 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30PM **Job Description** This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining electrical systems of industrial establishments by performing a range of duties including assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. **Responsibilities** + Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. + Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. + Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes. + Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. + Connect wires to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment; replace switches and fuses; and splice wire and insulate wire with friction tape. + Read and understand blueprints and one-line drawings. + Clean work area, tools, and equipment. **Requirements** + Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent experience (8 years of electrician experience) + Experienced w/ Installs, troubleshooting, electrical testing, and 480 volt systems + 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting + 4+ years of experience working on heavy-duty equipment and machinery + Ability to read blueprints and schematics + Experience editing and troubleshooting PLCs **Why Work Here?** + After 90 days, enjoy free medical, dental, life insurance, and vision coverage. + Benefit from paid time off, 14 paid holidays, a 401K with employer matching, and opportunities for advancement within a large, stable company. + We offer an integrated management system, ongoing training and development, and a fast-paced work environment. **Work Environment** + You will be working onsite in Arlington, interacting with employees and working in a team setting. + The work environment is fast-paced, requiring you to keep up with the pace of production and match your work ethic with that of the employees on the floor. **Job Type & Location** + This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, Texas. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
