General PurposeAn Equipment Serviceman-A is a Journeyman who is:
(a) A self-starter who can excel with little supervision.
(b) qualified to and does all repairs and maintenance work on automotive and utility work equipment including hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic driven components and equipment;
(c) qualified to work safely in a shop environment and obey all OSHA regulations.
(d) has excellent customer service skills.
(e) able to work safely in remote areas in all types of weather conditions.
(f) has an excellent driving record.
Responsibilities Repair of all types of mobile equipment and tools, to include all light, medium and heavy duty gas and diesel engine equipment. Repair of hydraulic operated aerial and man lift devices. Performance of the SAP PM program to minimize equipment downtime and unexpected cost. Overseeing of vendors to ensure repairs are done to Pacificorp standards. Processing of billing to ensure timely vendor payment. Requirements Must have a High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent Must be a Journeyman Equipment Serviceman; or have 5 years verifiable automotive mechanic experience Must pass a Rocky Mountain Power Journeyman Mechanic test, provided by RMP. Must possess or able to obtain a class A CDL license within 90 days of hire. Must supply own hand tools common for journeyman mechanics. Preferences Derrick and aerial equipment repair experience.
