Carmeuse Americas Savage Operation specializes in processing high-calcium limestone into specified granules and powders for use in a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Carmeuse is looking to hire an Industrial Electrician with a journeyman certification. This individual will work on assigned projects with limited or no supervision while performing installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems ensuring the work is performed in accordance with all relevant codes and safety standards. Reports To: Operations and Site Maintenance Manager Shift: Primarily 1st Shift (6am – 230pm) / OT as necessary, occasionally weekends **Primary Job Duties:** • Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions and equipment using various test instruments; maintain and repair electrical systems; test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; fabricate electrical parts; participates in the maintenance and operation of electrical and mechanical tools and equipment used by the operation. • Maintenance repairs to machinery and process equipment as needed for non-electrical repair or repairs. • Test & monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem • Ensures the proper function of electrical safety devices • Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems • Monitors work done for adherence to the NEC requirements • Assists in the writing of specifications for repairs and new construction • Maintains appropriate service and repair records, (records necessary for MSHA) • Analyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service • Follows blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes **Essential Skills & Experience:** • Journeyman Certification in Minnesota • 3-8 years of working electrical maintenance experience; mining, cementation, pulp & paper etc. • Working experience in an industrial or large commercial environment • Experience with troubleshooting, repair and maintain electrical systems including electric motors, electric controls, scales, and other electric equipment • Must be able to pass OJT assessment • Valid driver’s license • Able to pass drug test • Personality: takes initiative, good attitude, team player **Desirable Skills & Experience:** • Electrician experience in the mining space • Computer Logic and Programming- Ladder Logic **Remuneration & Benefits:** • Base pay between $31.89 - $39.75 depending on skills/abilities • Top tier experience will receive an additional $1.00/hr • Eligible for additional Skills Premiums of up to $1.50/hr • OE Pension contribution • Option to participate in a 401k (No company match) • ESST • Paid Vacation • Paid Holidays • Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term & Short-term disability, EAP, Wellness Rewards **Requisition ID** : 192888
