The ideal candidate will excel in performing various metalworking tasks, including job lay out, welding, cutting, fabricating, grinding, and painting in both structural and nonstructural applications.

Requirements:

Journeyman designation or equivalentValid Driver’s LicenseProvide own tools and willingness to acquire tools as required for jobs.Red Seal is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Rebuild containers to a usable standard and ensure inventory levels are maintained.Perform welding repairs on trucks and mobile equipment and rebuild to factory condition to ensure safe operation.Complete required record keeping associated with repairing assets, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.Occasional field work at customer site with welding truck repairing stationary container assets.Review, plan and schedule work in the welding shop as required.Mentor apprentice welders and provide training to complete their apprenticeship program.Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to company safety procedures.Ensure shop equipment and tools are kept in a safe operating condition.Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
