Job Title: Machine Technician - Starting at $37/hr!

Job Description

The Machine Technician is responsible for performing repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and systems. The role requires troubleshooting skills in industrial electricity, electrical mechanical motor controls, and hydraulic circuits. The technician must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints, and have a general knowledge of mechanical drive systems and fabrication skills.

ResponsibilitiesPerform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and systems.Troubleshoot industrial electricity issues using wiring diagrams and blueprints.Install conduit, outlets, and other electrical components.Troubleshoot electrical mechanical motor controls and hydraulic circuits.Utilize basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude in repair tasks.Work with mechanical drive systems such as gears, sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, and rollers.Perform general fabrication tasks including welding, torching, machining, piping, and threading.Assist in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair throughout the plant.Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records.Provide daily maintenance support for automated equipment.Perform work based on dispatched service or daily/weekly work schedules.Essential Skills5 years of experience in a similar role.Experience in automotive manufacturing or plastics manufacturing.Journeyman's card or associate degree/certification.General electric knowledge (480v, 3 phase experience, install conduit, outlets, etc.).Troubleshooting circuits and motors.Experience with hydraulic circuits and mechanical drive systems.Ability to troubleshoot mechanical motor controls.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with preventive maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.Experience with presses, machine repair, and hand tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Why Work Here?

This is a direct hire position with the company providing uniforms and a tool allowance. Technicians receive $350 their first year and $500 in subsequent years.

Work Environment

This is a non-climate controlled environment. The 2nd shift is from 3:00pm to 11:00pm and the 3rd shift is from 11:00pm to 7:00am, Monday through Friday. The team is currently working on Saturdays due to high demand. The pay rate is competitive, with an additional premium for 3rd shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $77209.00/yr.

This is a direct hire position with a union company. Company provides uniforms and tool allowance. Techs will get $350 their first year and $500 after that.

This is a fully onsite position in Oregon,OH.
