This position is located at the Nutrien Lanigan Potash site. This position will report to a Mill Mechanical Supervisor in the Mill Maintenance Department.
What you will do:
Be responsible for completing all coating and lining applications (brush, roll, spray, etc.) Complete all surface preparation work (preparation work, cleaning, abrasive blasting, etc.) Test and inspect surface preparation of coatings and application of coatings Maintain blasting and painting equipment Ensure standards of safety, workmanship, surface preparation, coating handling, coating application, temperature, moisture control, drying, curing, inspection of blast profile and inspection of dry and wet film thickness are in accordance with Nutrien Lanigan paint specificationsWhat you will bring:
A valid Saskatchewan Provincial or Interprovincial Journeyperson Painter & Decorator Certificate, or Industrial Journeyperson Painter equivalent Minimum 5 years’ experience painting and abrasive blasting Stable work record Previous experience in an industrial environment is an asset Positive safety behavior and be a safety leader Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors Ability to make and implement decisions under all conditions Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to work with others in problem solving atmosphere Operate motorized equipment including power tools, aerial lift and use of hand tools Assist other trades when required Industry Inspection and Industry Application certifications are an asset
