NACG is seeking a Journeyperson Wedler to join our remote mining site team in the Fort McMurray area.

 

This is your opportunity to join one of the safest and largest contracts in the region.

For this role, NACG offers a combined rate of up to  $63.07/hour as well as room for growth!

 

Where You’ll Be Working

 

Site: Kearl 

Schedule: 14x14, day/night rotation

Overtime: No overtime, Kearl has a blended rate. 

Accommodations: Camp provided. 

Transportation: Flights to and from site in Fort McMurray 

Incentives: Boot Allowance, Tool Allowance

Responsibilities

 What You’ll Be Doing

 

Complete repairs on mining equipment, including Haul Trucks, Excavators, Shovels, and Dozers (CAT/Hitachi/Komatsu)Develop a work scopeFabricate from blueprintsComplete reports and fill out work orders when requiredFollow NACG codes of practice and safety procedures

 

Qualifications

What Makes You the ONE

 

Red Seal/Alberta Journeyperson Welder with 1-2 years of heavy equipment repair experience (preferably large Trucks/Dozers/Shovels/Excavators)Experience with mobile equipment repairs, ice lugging, lancing, and gouging.Trained and experienced with Stick, MIG and large wire-feed welders, radiograph, Cooper-heat, Plasma cutter, Lance, overhead crane, etc…Ability to work outside if necessaryStrong communication skillsProficiency in English, both written and verbal Intermediate computer skillsStrong interpersonal skillsSelf-motivatedWillingness to learnShow leadership skills Summary

What's Next

 

If you are chosen to move forward in our hiring process for a site-based role, you will be asked to provide the following:

Provide a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to provide a recent Driver’s AbstractValid CSO, Wood Buffalo Wildlife ticket. Valid Journeyperson or Red Seal ticketBe subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sitesUndergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:Breath Alcohol TestUrine Drug TestFitness-to-Work Health AssessmentAudiometric TestingVision ScreeningCriminal Record Check

Once dispatched the following processes will occur:

Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testingAn email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled outAfter all results and paperwork are received by NACG, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.
