Journeyworker Maintenance Electrician - 1st Shift

As the Journeyworker Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting electrical systems on machinery and equipment within the plant. You will install and repair electrical systems and electronic components of industrial machinery, adhering to safety standards. This position is for 1st shift, from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and reports to the Plant Manager.

You Will:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and CNC software issues.

Administer the MP2 preventive maintenance program.

Support new product development and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Certify and train department employees on equipment and procedures.

Manage inventory of electrical supplies and coordinate with vendors.

Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and install control panels.

Drive machinery installation and ensure proper equipment setup.

Maintain knowledge of equipment setups, SOPs, and safety protocols.

Operate and maintain electrical systems, including A.C./D.C. and pneumatics/hydraulics.

Ensure compliance with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and tool storage protocols.

Oversee scrap metal/wood disposal and compactor operation.

Complete Industrial Lift Certification as needed to safely operate equipment.

Read blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance work.

You Have:

2+ years of vocational training or high school education supplemented by an accredited journeyman-level apprenticeship.

10+ years of experience in diversified maintenance operations or an equivalent combination of education and training.

Certified State Indentured Journeyman designation.

Knowledge of machining technology, mechanical principles, advanced shop mathematics, job layout, precision measuring procedures, setups, tooling applications, and welding.

Ideal experience with Millwright skills, CNC service/repair, and a basic understanding of electrical and electronic service work.

Experience with FCNC-PLC systems is desirable.

A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair them effectively.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
