**Description:**
Our client is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, automation implementation, and support of web solutions in a global environment. You will work closely with project teams to deliver new capabilities to customers while maintaining current software levels, patches, features, and configurations.
_Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance._
Rate: $33 - $43 / hr. w2
**Responsibilities:**
**Strategy & Planning:**
+ Support the implementation of long-term strategic goals for technologies in line with business requirements.
+ Collaborate with business owners and department managers to support technology platforms.
+ Work with development staff to implement architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies.
+ Assist in implementing redundant systems, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, monitoring, alerting, and data archiving.
+ Evaluate and implement new software versions, technologies, and processes.
+ Collaborate with engineers to align solutions across platforms.
**Acquisition & Deployment:**
+ Ensure the quality of new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
+ Implement software products and services to support procurement and development efforts.
+ Conduct feasibility studies for system products and provide advice based on findings.
+ Ensure new software integration meets functional requirements and system compliance.
+ Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in software testing.
+ Participate in server lifecycle management and technology upgrades/migrations.
+ Plan and implement security measures to safeguard information.
**Operational Management:**
+ Assist in the engineering, configuration, operation, and maintenance of secure and scalable infrastructure.
+ Document installation and configuration standards in the team’s Knowledge Base.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
+ Develop and perform automated deployments of digital assets.
+ Tune web and application server performance.
+ Plan and complete projects with minimal guidance.
+ Support a 24x7 global production environment.
**Incidental Functions:**
+ Monitor servers, applications, integrations, and websites.
+ Assist with disaster mitigation and recovery implementation.
+ Contribute to various projects to enhance work efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Participate in hiring activities and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity policies.
+ Attend meetings with software developers and business users.
**Experience Requirements:**
**Knowledge & Experience:**
+ 1+ years of IT experience.
+ Experience with application servers, web-based architecture, and automation/deployment tools (e.g., Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
+ Experience building cloud solutions and working with Kubernetes.
+ Understanding of security-related tooling, Apache or Nginx, DNS, TCP/IP, and Linux/*nix operating systems.
+ Experience with task automation via scripting.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems and AWS or other cloud platforms.
+ Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and container security.
+ Experience with Application Performance Management and Agile development practices.
+ Knowledge of LDAP concepts.

**Education & Certification:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
_Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range._
