Jr. Account Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Account Manager serves as the overall account owner, liaison, and concierge for customers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.  The focus of this position will center on the planning, execution, and strategy of digital campaigns within the email channel and other innovative technologies and products.  A successful Account Manager will display aptitude in the delivery/execution of campaigns, initiatives, and related technology.  The Account Manager helps maximize client program performance within the project budget and is accountable for directly managing/executing client projects from inception to completion and onto renewal.  The Account Manager will support his/her manager and the Vice President of Digital Solutions when new services are offered and will be accountable for growing opportunities primarily within existing execution accounts.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 

Financial

Retain year-over-year revenue for assigned accountsSeek expansion opportunities and grow assigned accounts by identifying unmet needs and responding to strategic client issuesForecast and ensure maximum revenue recognition as measured by P&L, margins, targets, and other financial metrics

Client Relations

Serve as main point-of-contact to Client teams and AgenciesBuild loyalty and cultivate relationships with Client teams and AgenciesDemonstrate knowledge with DMD’s product and service offeringsUtilize learning derived from results and offer expertise and strategy for campaigns to drive future strategyDrive/lead presentations for Client Team/Agencies and support Sales VP in senior level presentationsVisit client sites if needed and designated by supervisor

Project Management

Tactical oversight and project management of all campaigns for which this Account Manager is leadEnsure projects are on budget, in scope, and on timeExecute or coordinate tasks, including list pulls, reports, email testing/deployments, and Live (Deployment) file creationCollaborate with functional  teams to ensure all projects are developed for the best end-user experience

Process

Assist Sales VP with contracting of new businessWork with Sales VP or lead contracting for expansion and renewals in existing businessCommunicate client needs and expectations clearly across development teamsUnderstand the needs of the client and translate those needs into a tactical plan of executionCollaborate with functional teams to ensure all projects are developed for the best end-user experienceAnalyze results data and communicate the findings in a meaningful way to clients

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES/CERTIFICATES

Four-year bachelor’s degreeProject Management experience2+ years of account management experienceUnderstanding of email marketing as a primary communication channelKnowledge of digital marketing within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries is desirable
