Our major Oil & Gas client is seeking a Jr. Cost Analyst to work at their facilities in Texas City, TX, on an initial 2-year contract.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities: Review and approve invoices for equipment rentals, materials, and labor for assigned contractors. Review and familiarize yourself with contractor contracts. Manage hiring plans and force reports for assigned contractors. Monitor planning progress versus worklist by assigned contractor. Ensure all jobs are properly planned, budgeted, and charged correctly (budgeted vs. actual costs). Track RFIs and review change orders, ensuring they are communicated to the appropriate groups and addressed in a timely manner. Report on project status and completion. Monitor contractor productivity and schedule adherence. Conduct contractor alignment meetings. Requirements: High school diploma (required). College degree (preferred but not required); relevant fields include civil or mechanical engineering and accounting. Minimum of 2 years in cost analysis or project controls. Familiarity with construction concepts Excel skills, including navigation of pivot tables, handling large datasets, and using basic functions like lookups. Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
