CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Data Analyst 1. Job Title: Data Analyst 1 Location: Manassas, VA Type: Contract Pay Rate: $21.25 per hour Work Hours: M-F 7:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. Education: High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred) Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing data analysis, data quality management, metadata management, and assisting in developing data reports to inform and progress our current and future data operating models. The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping our data architecture and ensuring the integrity and quality of our data assets. On a day-to-day basis, you will: Develop, maintain, optimize, and document queries for data analysis and reporting tasks to ensure reuse and meet stakeholder needs. Identify and fix data issues (e.g., missing values, outliers, duplicates, inconsistencies), clean, and preprocess raw data for accuracy and consistency. Utilize Excel and other tools to prepare, analyze, and transform data; conduct statistical analyses; and create reports to highlight trends and insights. Communicate findings and insights clearly to both non-technical and technical stakeholders using tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Continuously monitor and implement data validation checks, manage data quality, metadata, and master data, and perform data mapping and analysis. Document findings, provide recommendations, and develop data architecture artifacts to enhance current and future data operating models. Lift up to 40 lbs. during the day for product measurements and moving products within the warehouse environment. Requirements: Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred). Proficiency in Excel and Visio. Strong expertise in data analysis, data architecture, and data services development. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with various stakeholders. Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP is a plus. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is beneficial. Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices is a plus. Ability to qualify for driving a PIV (forklift) is a plus. PPE: Steel-toed safety shoes required (must provide their own), all other PPE provided by employer.
