**Overview**
GCG is currently seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to join our Sales Operations team. This is an entry-level, career-building opportunity designed for someone who is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and eager to grow within a data-driven function.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our sales compensation processes. You’ll help ensure that commissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with plan details—supporting both the business and the salespeople who rely on them. This includes validating payment data, assisting with reporting, communicating plan information, and helping to resolve adjustments or exceptions.
This is a hands-on, administrative role to start, with room to grow into more advanced data work and compensation design support. It’s a great fit for candidates with backgrounds in banking, insurance, or similar environments where precision and spreadsheet skills are essential.
**This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. During onboarding and training, the selected candidate is expected to work onsite at our Chicago office: 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60631**
**What you’ll do**
+ Administer and validate sales compensation data, including reviewing quotas, processing payments, and applying special adjustments
+ Maintain accurate records of compensation-related data in internal systems
+ Respond to inquiries from sales team members regarding compensation plans, payments, and plan mechanics
+ Assist in preparing reports and dashboards to track compensation trends and performance
+ Collaborate with Sales, HR, and Finance to troubleshoot discrepancies and support resolution
+ Contribute to the rollout of new compensation plans and assist with plan communications
+ Continuously look for ways to streamline manual processes and improve data accuracy
**What you’ll bring**
**Education & Experience**
+ Required: Associate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or Data Operations
+ Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
**Technical Skills**
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and grouped data analysis
+ Comfort working with large datasets and transactional reporting
+ Familiarity with data integrity concepts and attention to detail in manual processes
+ Bonus: Exposure to SQL / database tools extremely beneficial but not required
**Interpersonal & Organizational Skills**
+ Strong written and verbal communication
+ Ability to manage recurring deadlines and task prioritization
+ Customer service mindset—sales team is your internal client
+ Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes as the role evolves
