ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. We're on a mission to make GO trains faster, greener, and more efficient than ever before.

You are someone who:
Supports survey projects in the field Assists with survey tasks. Holds measuring rods or targets as needed. Sets up and dismantle survey equipment. Transports survey equipment. Assists in using GNSS receivers, Total station, Digital Level for control surveys. Assists in using UAV and terrestrial laser scanner for various measurements. Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of equipment and vehicles by: Regularly cleaning and monitoring their condition. Reporting any issues promptly. Assists in the preparation of project files, maps, and data. Supports records management, including data loading and quality assurance. Adheres to safety protocols as required by the client, OH&S, and the ONxpress Safety program. Participates in safety activities such as Emergency Response Planning, Hazard Assessment, and daily tailgate meetings.
You bring:
C.E.T (Certified Engineering technologist), post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. 6 months to 1 year of experience in survey-related activities. Willingness and ability to travel regularly for client, project, and ONxpress needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective teamwork. Familiarity with survey methodologies is advantageous. Previous outdoor work experience is beneficial. Possession of a valid non-restricted driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract. Problem solver Good communication

This position is with ONxpress Civils (“CJV” aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
