Description We are looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position requiring hands-on expertise in IT systems and desktop support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting ongoing projects, including server replacements and application installations. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive support for Windows-based systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. • Assist with replacing servers and reinstalling applications to ensure seamless functionality. • Manage and maintain Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions. • Perform regular system backups and ensure recovery processes are in place. • Oversee hardware installations, upgrades, and maintenance for desktop systems. • Collaborate with the IT team to address technical challenges and meet project deadlines. • Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to optimize operations. • Support end-users with hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolutions. • Document processes and maintain accurate records of system changes and updates. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or a related role. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems. • Proficiency in managing Active Directory and related technologies. • Familiarity with backup technologies and disaster recovery solutions. • Solid understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting techniques. • Ability to work onsite in Houston, Texas. • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
