Junior Accountant

This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated Junior Accountant eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment within the corporate accounting team of a large, privately owned hospitality group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing key accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes, and contributing to financial reporting and analysis.
Compensation:$55,000-60,000 / year
Responsibilities:Handle full-cycle accounting tasks, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.Prepare and distribute periodic financial reports and other updates.Collaborate with operations teams to resolve accounting issues.Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations.Ensure strong internal controls, identifying risks and recommending improvements where needed.Work with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, with a focus on automation.Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth workflows.Assist with external audits and tax filing requirements.Manage property taxes and insurance for all brands.Oversee CAPEX accounting for multiple projects and initiatives.Manage intercompany transactions between legal entities.Perform additional accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA designation is an asset but not required.Experience in full-cycle accounting with a solid understanding of GAAP.Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (such as Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations) is a plus.
