Created to align, lighten and modernize infrastructure, the Technology & Infrastructure (T & I) team is the backbone and the future forward arm of CBC/Radio-Canada. This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

The Opportunity

As Junior Analyst, your responsibilities will include documenting requirements, mapping data processes and workflows, and preparing data. Your expertise will help the project team and enable the implementation of innovative solutions. This position offers stimulating challenges and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced environment. You will be involved in a cross-departmental project of corporate-wide scope, where you will be tasked with finding creative solutions to meet end-user needs. Specifically, you will be part of the team working on the project to replace our solutions currently used as our broadcast management system.

In conjunction with the other members of the team, you will:

Assist with data entry in various environments in partnership with end users as part of the broadcast management system replacement project.Help create and maintain various test/validation scripts based on clients’ business processes and perform application testing to ensure that the application complies with CBC/Radio-Canada requirements.Ensure that non-compliances (bugs and/or deficiencies) are communicated to the provider via the problem-tracking system (e.g., Jira).Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions, guiding users to test how the application works.Assist with strategy and efforts to migrate data to the new systems.Identify opportunities for improvements and workflow inefficiencies/optimizations, documenting options in a clear and consistent manner.Participate actively in multiple scrum teams to deliver solutions iteratively and incrementally.Help configure systems to accommodate the needs of end users.

What You Bring

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, or equivalent.One to two years’ experience in information technology or a related field.Knowledge of the Canadian broadcasting industry and advertising sales an asset.Expertise in requirements collection, documentation and analysis.

Skills

Technical: Strong analytical skills and ability to find innovative solutions; knowledge of broadcasting systems an asset.Interpersonal: Excellent bilingual communication skills, strong client focus and ability to collaborate effectively.

Informed judgment, self-reliance, diligence and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Initiative, creativity and flexibility to encourage change.

Other Information

Occasional travel to Toronto or Montreal.Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written.
