Junior Appian Developer

Join us at Barclays as an Appian Developer where you will be responsible for leading design and implementation, support and maintenance of the Bank’s applications and analytic tools based on the Appian platform.  You will support Risk, Finance and Treasury and other teams in the execution of their business processes with a direct focus on programmes which support the ongoing function of the Bank's Product Register for new and amended Product proposals.

To be successful as an Appian Developer you should have experience in:

Proven Appian Design & Development including latest releases, with end-to-end delivery experience across a number of projectsWorking knowledge with SQL, query editing and performance tuningSDLC, configuration, deployment and testing of enterprise applicationsWorking on cross-functional teams building products using Agile methodologies and DevOps

Some other highly valued skills include:

Preferred Formal Certification as an Appian Developer L2 Working experience with Java, Web Services, API integration

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
