The Junior Backend Developer (Java) Role
Step into the world of cloud-native development as a Junior Backend Developer (Java) and help build the next-generation cloud data governance application at Qlik. Based in Nantes or Paris, this role gives you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge backend technologies, designing and developing scalable, high-performing microservices that drive enterprise solutions. Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
Develop backend microservices that power cloud-based data governance applications.Participate in solution design discussions, workshops, and refinement sessions to help shape the architecture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, UX designers, and data engineers, to deliver best-in-class products.Continuously learn and grow in an agile environment while contributing to team goals.Ensure reliable, high-performance applications by working with MongoDB, SQL, and REST APIs.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
2+ years of experience in Java development.A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field.Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.Exposure to MongoDB, SQL databases, and Git (a plus).Strong communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset.A passion for learning, problem-solving, and working in an agile, distributed team.
