SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Junior Business Controller Location: Schiedam, The Netherlands Fulltime: 40 hours per week Mammoet is currently seeking a driven Junior Business Controller to enhance our Corporate Business Control team at our headquarters in Schiedam. In this role, you will report to the Global Manager of Business Control and collaborate closely with different global and regional departments supporting our business with in-depth analysis and valuable insights. Your responsibilities will entail interfacing with seasoned management, facilitating an enriching learning trajectory and offering a platform for continued advancement within our global organization. In this role, you will be an important player in the collaboration between business, finance and IT as you will be working extensively on developing management reports. We are in search of individuals who possess not only a broad finance perspective but also show a robust business acumen. As you will engage with various management levels across Mammoet's diverse disciplines, the ability to articulate your findings confidently and professionally is essential. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Establish management reports in close collaboration with IT and business owners. Contribute to the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the company and assist in reporting. Analyze and interpret financial and business data to derive meaningful insights. Collaborate with various departments within the organization to verify data and enhance comprehension. Manage internal management reporting procedures and enhance reporting mechanisms tailored to project-based operations, offering visibility into project profitability and regional performance. Participate in regional business enhancement initiatives, encompassing both financial and non-financial aspects. Respond promptly and accurately to ad-hoc information requests from senior management. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Master's degree, preferably but not necessarily in Finance or Business Administration. Solid understanding of management accounting, financial accounting and business administration. Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a similar role, within an international project business environment. Strong drive in building and analyzing management reports and developing KPIs. Affinity with the heavy lift & transport industry, and the markets of the company’s clients Ability to easily liaise with colleagues in other departments within the company. Fluency in English both verbally and in writing. Strong affinity with IT systems, preferably Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and SAP.
