Junior Business Systems Analyst

What the day will look like The Business Systems team are the link between business units, Aon IT and software suppliers. The job of the team is to ensure all critical tasks and requirements of each area are met and managed smoothly. The Junior Business Analyst role requires them to facilitate business needs from the systems we use and also to be the gate keepers of those systems, ensuring that we use them in the correct way and keep them functioning correctly. Work with the Business Systems Manager and local leadership teams to ensure all business change activities are embedded in a timely, efficient way resulting in BAU working practices To contribute, support and promote how Aon’s operating systems and facilities can best be used, whilst promoting operational efficiencies and solutions to support the delivery of client value at the heart of all activities. Complete analysis of data and problem areas, with a view to developing solutions to improve user effectiveness and the customer journey. How this opportunity is different This is an exciting opportunity, working closing with Business Systems Manager and local leadership teams, bringing your analytical and problem solving skills to help deliver Acturis system enhancements. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Experience in delivering front office business operational improvement initiatives and supporting BAU activities in the insurance industry + Working knowledge of FCA regulation relating to insurance broking, with a track record of successful application of that knowledge in the insurance industry + Some experience of delivery of projects, new working practices and change initiatives in front and back office + Ability to navigate a diverse business environment and influence key stakeholders + Some experience of project managing the implementation of business operational initiatives to improve business performance and in developing and sharing best practice + Good problem-solving skills + Strong analytical and numerical skills + Strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate well across organisational levels + Self-disciplined and organised + Knowledge of FCA requirements and standards + Collaborative approach, with the ability to operate in a matrix management environment + Determines pertinent information required by management to make effective decisions.
