Position Title: Junior Class/Prom Sponsor
Job Group: Athletics/Activities
Reports to: High School Principal
Job Description: The Junior Class Sponsor supervises Junior Class activities and production of the Junior/Senior Prom, and works closely with the other staff and administration of Norwalk Community School District.
Examples of Essential Job Functions:
+ Coordinate and supervise Junior Class activities.
+ Coordinate, direct, and supervise the production of the Junior/Senior Prom.
+ With assistance from administration, develop and adhere to a budget.
+ Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community.
+ Work effectively with community organizations.
+ React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
+ Support the value of an education.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university
+ Demonstrated proficiency in the use of general office technology (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite)

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
+ Requires prolonged sitting or standing.

+ Requires some travel.
+ Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
+ Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
Terms of Employment:
+ Yearly contract issued.
Employment per Board Policies and Administrative Rules and Regulations.
Performance evaluated per Staff Handbook.
Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of duties as assigned.
