Measure music history as it happens: We’re looking for a junior analyst passionate about the role data can play in recorded music.
In Commercial Analytics, our primary focus is driving streaming and sales volumes; our team decipher the data delivered by partners and translate insights into actionable recommendations to support and elevate Sony Music’s iconic roster of artists. As a Junior Commercial Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging the wealth of data we receive from DSPs (Digital Service Providers) and market data suppliers to support our Digital Partnerships and International teams in optimising Sony Music's streaming volumes and market share.
What you'll do: Standardised Reporting: Maintain and optimize a systematic program of reports to better inform the Digital Partnerships and International teams on individual campaigns, DSPs, and the market as a whole Report Development and Tool Building: With the support of the Senior Commercial Analyst, you’ll develop new data tools and reports Ad Hoc Reporting: Be the go-to person for basic ad hoc queries from Digital Partnerships and International Teams related to sales/streaming and marketing analysis requests Market Trends and Strategic Insights: Support the Senior Commercial Analyst in broader research pieces looking into market changes and strategic recommendations. Basic UK Charts Queries: Distribution of charts data, topline charts analysis and sales queries, product registration, and basic eligibility queries Who you are:Passionate about music and the music industry.
This is a data role, but we’re looking for someone who can talk confidently about data in the context of music specifically, with people in creative roles.
