(Junior) Data Processing specialist

Design and test data orientated solutions for high profile international organizations or legislator bodies Build high-performance solutions for fast data aggregation Integrate new data management technologies into existing data products Provide insight through regular and ad-hoc reporting, highlighting trends and other areas of interest. Implement and enforce standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently, properly and with highest quality. Work closely and consult on best practices with internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to an agile team culture, values and solutions.

What a day in the life of the (Junior)Data Processing specialist looks like?
Morning meeting: start the day with a team huddle to discuss ongoing projects
Data processing specialist: Use specific data processing software based on VB script (after an initial training) combination with tools like Phyton, Excel, SPSS, SQL, etc. Edit, submit and write scripts based on client’s requests. Retrieve, transform and visualize various data sets. Prepare input files for different analyses and decision systems. Deal with large amounts of information on a daily basis.
Collaboration: collaboration is at the heart of our work culture. You'll closely collaborate with research, project management, survey development, and QA teams to ensure seamless project flow. Your ability to exchange feedback and refine survey objectives will contribute to the overall success of our projects.

To thrive in this position, you'll need:

Minimum 1 year experience in working with data management or transformation software (SPS syntax, Dimensions) A solid grasp of programming basics such as algorithms, databases, and more. Prior experience with  SPSS, SQL, Excel  would be incredibly advantageous during your onboarding and training process. Above-average understanding of data structure and principles Experience with remote collaboration tools, enabling independent work on own initiative without immediate supervision (MS Teams, SharePoint) Excellent level of English language - both spoken and written Focused on the added value for our internal and/or external clients Intellectual curiosity to find new and unusual ways to solve data management issues. Experience in working in Social research Experience in working and being comfortable with agile data delivery environment Experience or interest and willingness to learn new technologies in the area of programming languages (Python, R, VB, GIT) and data reporting/visualization tools (Power BI, Tablue, Harmony) Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
