 KBR is seeking a Junior Data & Software Tester to join our team supporting advanced data analytics and cloud programs for the Department of Defense. This is an exciting entry-level role for someone who enjoys working with data, charts, and visualizations and has a sharp eye for spotting patterns, inconsistencies, or errors. While you’ll perform traditional front-end testing of applications, the bigger focus will be validating that the data presented in dashboards and reports is logical, accurate, and meaningful. You’ll collaborate closely with developers and analysts to ensure systems not only function well but also display the right insights for mission success. Roles and Responsibilities

Review dashboards, charts, and application data outputs to confirm accuracy, logic, and consistency.Validate that analytical results and visualizations reflect expected values and meaningful insights.Identify and report anomalies, irregularities, or trends in application data.Collaborate with developers, analysts, and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.Perform front-end testing of applications to ensure user interface elements, navigation, and features function as intended.Create and execute test cases for both UI and data-driven features, documenting results clearly.Support integration, regression, and acceptance testing in cloud and advanced analytics environments.Maintain and enhance testing documentation, processes, and test suites.Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of both front-end and data validation testing practices.

Basic Qualifications

Clearance & Citizenship: Active Secret Clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Education & Experience:

BS degree & 1 year of experience OR  AA/AS degree & 4 years of experienceOR High school diploma/GED & 8 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or coursework in front-end software testing, QA, or functional testing.Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming (Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar).Experience with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).Exposure to cloud-based analytics environments or interest in advanced data analytics and visualization.Strong attention to detail, curiosity for data patterns, and interest in continuous learning within software and analytics domains.

Position may offer a flexible workplace setting.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.

Compensation: $75,000-$90,000.  The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
