Junior Design Intern (Quill) Hybrid - June 2025

As a Quill’s in-house agency, we are responsible for bringing the Quill brand to life. Working across all parts of Quill to support the organization in strategizing and delivering striking digital, web, print and social content. As we look to elevate our creative product and transform into a world-class agency, we are looking for a designer to join our team and help be an integral part of our creative. We are seeking someone who is passionate about design, a stickler for details and able to take creative direction and run with it.

This position is a part of a hybrid work model, 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, based out of the Quill Corporate facility in Lincolnshire, IL. 

Target Start Date: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (11-week program)

Intern Pay Rate: $21 per hour

What you bring to the table:  

The intern candidate will be joining our creative team. You help design and create digital marketing materials for social media and other platforms. You will support the Quill brand guidelines in their day-to-day work and have a clear understanding of the Quill customer.[Text Wrapping Break]

Candidates should be familiar with Adobe Suite, Figma, and other graphic design applications. This internship role will be involved in all aspects of Quill’s Agency group and work across all aspects of the company. Candidates should be able to produce high-quality materials while adhering to deadlines and high quality creative excellence.

What you’ll be doing:  

Build an understanding of the Quill brand and work with the design team in the delivery of the brand standards through a variety of creative deliverablesWork to deliver design solutions based on previous work for our print, web and email channels.  Support the Quill brand guidelines in day-to-day work and have a clear understanding of the Quill audience.Collaborate with other Agency team members to understand execution dependencies to create solutions and experiences that are executable.Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the creative execution maintains a strong, consistent look and feel.Actively participate in creative kickoff meeting, provide design recommendations as well as present concepts during creative reviews.Understands marketing, digital, and media industry trends/developments and uses this knowledge to leverage ideas for Quill.

What’s needed - Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in creative/design or a related field Must be a rising senior, graduating in May 2026An understanding of advertising/marketing with a focus on design experienceProficiency in Adobe Creative SuiteTypography and Motion design a plus  Strong online portfolio with examples of digital projects demonstrating creative thinking and executionExperience designing across multiple platforms and/or devicesMust be motivated, highly organized, flexible during peak workload, and detail-oriented
