Role Purpose: 

Drive the process of design and development of the department, building a balanced, comprehensive offer with required pricing structure and margin. Offer newness combined with commerciality and a strong affinity for fast fashion influenced by the latest catwalk and trend predictions. 

Role Responsibilities:

Responsibility for the design, development and delivery of relevant and trend led product for a certain product area Presenting new product ranges to management and buying teams Creating mood and trend boards seasonally, plus colour direction Travelling to India and China to develop product and range build Highlight key items, details and fabrications Understanding pricing-margins- design to price point Working closely with buying and merchandising to build department strategy To continually aim to develop yourself, asking your Line Manager for support and guidance.  Collaborate with the Design Manager and Design team to build seasonal trends and concepts for the brand. To complete any other duties as reasonably requested by the company to ensure the continuous development of the business   

Role Requirements:

Eye for colour, trends, and fashion Previous design experience from high street fashion retailer/supplier Excellent hand sketching and technical garment drawing skills Demonstrates an awareness of the retail industry Demonstrates accountability to deliver within role and drive the right results Helpful and approachable, always willing to extend help Demonstrates an awareness of trends and impact of potential threats and opportunities  Proactive, vibrant and spirited and rises to challenges Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines Excellent attention to detail Thinks above and beyond role Strong communication skills  Ability to be privy to highly confidential information and ensure it remains so Strong interpersonal skills Passion for your dedicated brand
