Our client, a leading Main Contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries, is urgently looking for a highly experienced Junior Electrical Engineer. As Junior Electrical Engineer, you will help design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to ensure required specifications and standards are met. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, project management skills, and the ability to ensure that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet project specifications.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Assist in pre-construction engineering activities including electrical design review and verification identifying design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.
Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.
Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance.
Help in completing electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
Assist in developing and executing test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and components.
Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability.
Help in ensuring that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
1+ year of experience in an Electrical Engineering role within construction/engineering.
Proficient in electrical design software and project management tools such as Bluebeam, Amtech, Dialux, Adobe Pro, Navisworks, BIM360, BIMCollab and MS Office Suite Software are desirable.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, materials, and relevant codes and standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
