Job Summary:
The Junior Engineer / Buyer plays a critical role in monitoring and executing supply chain activities, ensuring timely procurement, maintaining supplier records, and optimizing cost savings. The role involves working with MRP messages, managing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, and supporting inventory management while adhering to ISO and ERP processes.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a vital role for ensuring timely receipt of documentation delivery of materials to support operations by managing material planning activities from placing purchase orders, follow up with suppliers to deliver products to production assembly lines and/or service parts as per project plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
MRP Message Monitoring: Analyze and act on MRP messages to ensure timely procurement and material availability. Purchase Order (PO) Management: Issue, update, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery. Vendor Registration & Supplier Evaluation: Process vendor registrations and maintain evaluation records. Supplier Reassessment & Monitoring: Track and update supplier reassessment charts and schedules. Vendor Rating & Supplier Master List: Maintain vendor rating records and ensure supplier master lists are updated. Cost Savings & SCM Performance: Track cost-saving initiatives and monitor supply chain performance. PPV (Purchase Price Variance) Analysis: Conduct PPV analysis to manage cost fluctuations effectively. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to avoid shortages or overstocking. ISO & Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO standards and maintain procurement documentation. ERP System Utilization: Use ERP tools for procurement tracking and reporting.Education/Experience/Competency:
Diploma/BE Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years Industrial experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management.Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of ERP & MRP systems. Vendor management & negotiation skills.
Data analysis (PPV, cost savings, supplier evaluation).
ISO compliance understanding.
