Junior Environmental Engineer

You will be part of Environmental Planning discipline in Arcadis Iasi office, where we have specialists which are using mathematical, scientific and computational tools from several domains to develop and sustain modern and risk-free communities. Also, we are conducting, advising, designing and we are coordinating the implementation of solutions to prevent, control and remedy the adverse effects of human activity on the environment.

Using a variety of engineering disciplines and computational tools – CAD and GIS technologies – we are creating and analyzing spatial data for planning, resource management, habitat conservation, wetland restoration, hydro-morphological measures or river regulation, energy projects, etc. We also manage field data, create database and we are mapping for different Environmental projects. 

ArcGIS, Autodesk platforms and the Hydraulic modelling software sustain our aim to provide competent, reliable skilled solutions in a cost-effective way.

Job description 

This is a full-time role. Your main responsibilities will include:

Environmental Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for various environmental studies, including Level 0 and 1 Environmental Reports. Data Analysis and Research: Analyze and interpret environmental components and systems to support project planning and decision-making. Technical Advisory: Serve as a technical advisor on environmental data analysis, providing insights and recommendations based on your findings. Field and Laboratory Data Processing: Process and analyze data from fieldwork and laboratory tests to ensure accurate and reliable results. Data Management and Quality Control: Prepare and ensure the quality control (QC) of data management tasks. Project Support: Provide general project assistance, including organizing data, supporting team collaboration, and ensuring adherence to project timelines. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to communicate findings and support project outcomes. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality and reporting processes.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field. Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Analytical Mindset: Highly proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to work. Collaboration Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including a collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team. Organizational Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Quality and Technical Focus: Strong attention to quality and technical accuracy, with an ability to uphold high standards in environmental data interpretation and reporting. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions. Adaptability: Comfortable working in dynamic environments and open to learning new tools and methodologies.

Nice to have: 

Technical Software Skills: Familiarity with technical software such as AutoCAD or ArcGIS. Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial principles and how they apply to environmental projects. Industry Experience: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a strong advantage. Additional Language Skills: Proficiency in another European language is an asset
