The Health and Safety Consulting team, based in Ireland, currently employs seven full time specialist consultants who deliver high quality advisory services to clients in the areas of Science and Industry, Energy, Rail, Highways, Buildings and many other sectors. Due to a heavy and growing workload and an increasing diversity in the range of services that our clients are seeking, we are looking to add to our team.

As a Junior Health and Safety Consultant at Arup, you will:
Acting as a junior health and safety consultant across a range of sectors including construction, manufacturing, energy and service industries. Carrying out the duties of PSDP co-ordinator on projects of varying sizes and complexities. Conducting design health and safety reviews. Provision of advice to clients in relation to construction and other applicable health and safety legislation. Carrying out health and safety audits/inspections and reviews of construction sites, places of work and client systems. Preparing Safety Statements. Conducting and documenting risk assessments. Developing and implementing Safety Management Systems.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about Health and Safety. We also value:
Third level qualification in health and safety. Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Knowledge of design and construction-related health and safety legislation. Understanding of the PSDP role. Excellent communications, inter-personal, IT and writing skills. Pro-active approach to gathering and processing information with good follow-through to completion. Full clean driving licence.
Other skills/qualifications that would be an advantage:
Third level qualification in another technical area within the construction industry, e.g. Engineering, Architecture, Project Management or similar. Understanding of construction projects from inception to completion, some experience an advantage. Some construction site experience will also be an advantage.
