HR Payroll Specialist with German and English

Job Description

The Payroll Specialist manages pre-payroll tasks and ensures full compliance with European labor regulations. The role requires maintaining accurate payroll records, handling exception processing, and supporting forecasting and analytics. Additionally, this role will involve collaboration on mid-year and year-end processes to ensure precise time management data. Proficiency in both English and German is required.

Qualifications

 

Responsibilities:

Process pre-payroll activities, ensuring adherence to various European labor regulationsCollaborate with HR and finance teams to gather necessary payroll inputs and resolve discrepanciesPrepare and maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, including data for internal and external auditsEnsure all records meet organizational standards and regulatory requirementsManage exception processing, including special cases and one-off paymentsForecast payroll expenses and generate analytical reports for management reviewAssist in mid-year and year-end tasks such as reconciling time management data and adjusting recordsWork with cross-functional teams to ensure timely submission of all required informationCreate regular payroll reports and dashboards, providing insights to stakeholders

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, HR, or a related fieldProficiency in German at a B2 level and English at a B1 level or higher.Experience with European payroll systems and a strong understanding of relevant labor regulations is a huge advantage Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in spreadsheet softwareAbility to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple deadlinesDetail-oriented approach with a strong focus on accuracy and process improvementStrong prioritization skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to share knowledge and contribute to a supportive team cultureUnderstanding of business processes and controls
