JUNIOR HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Pay Rate: $24.04-$26.44/hour (40 hours/week)

The Role: DDI’s Jr HR Generalist serves as a primary point of contact for all things HR Related. You will support DDI and our employees in all aspects of HR, including HCMS/Compensation, Benefits, Credentialing, Training and Recruitment. This is a tremendous opportunity to gain experience in a Human Resources role while supporting our team of mission-driven employees.

What You'll Do:

Provide support to all HR functions, including HCMS/Compensation, Benefits, Credentialing, Training and Recruitment. In conjunction with the Manager of Employee Health & Total Rewards, maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment including but not limited to, I-9 employment eligibility, Wage Theft Protection Act, EEO, OSHA, etc.  Assist employees with general inquiries about DDI’s health benefit and retirement plans.  Work closely with DDI’s health benefit insurance carriers & the point of contact for DDI’s benefit system of record to ensure employees are enrolled or terminated correctly from the health benefit plans.  Assist with the annual benefit open enrollment process for the Agency’s benefit programs.  Assist in the processing of all employee leaves (FMLA, PFL, Military Leave and Unpaid LOA).  Administer DDI’s Workers’ Compensation program and submit all required documentation to DDI’s Workers’ Compensation insurance carrier accurately and timely.  Ensure all required documentation relating to Workers’ Compensation is being submitted accurately and timely to the Payroll Department & Program Management.  Provide the Workplace Health & Safety Officer with information regarding monthly employee injuries and trends to be presented at the Health & Safety Committee.  Work closely with DDI’s COBRA vendor to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.  Review all agency job changes for accuracy in the HCMS before final approval by the Manager of Compensation & Benefits.  Generate monthly, standard, custom and ad hoc reports in support of program needs & management objectives.  Act as the backup in presenting Tech Time and Benefits Modules for new hire orientation and provide backup support for other modules when needed.  Support and in some cases oversee employee engagement initiatives. In conjunction with the Credentialing Administrator, assist with the processing of credentialing and all regulatory requirements.  Provide quality customer service to employees and HR vendors.  Ensure confidentiality of all employee/agency information. Other duties as assigned. 

What You Need for the Role:

High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in an office environment; Human Resources preferred Ability to multitask Detail oriented Must be able to work independently and prioritize assignments based upon urgency. Professional demeanor Strong analytical skills Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present in front of groups.  Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Knowledgeable of HR functions
