Junior Interior Designer - Workplace

Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an Interior Designer to join our Workplace Practice Group in Dallas. The successful candidate will have project delivery experience in corporate workplace interiors and will support projects in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, among others. We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated individual who is a self-starter and can work both independently and as part of a team. The candidate should possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation and documentation abilities.

A solid understanding of finish materials, furniture consulting, and applicable reference standards is essential. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of building and accessibility codes/standards, be capable of interacting with clients and consultants, and participate in project development from concept through construction, presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.

Role accountabilities:

CAD modelling and drafting, developing sketches, conducting research and data collection, preparing presentations and reports, and general preparation and production of design and construction documents Revise and update presentations, CAD models, drawings as requested by others Work on multiple projects, providing concepts and techniques in ways that may explore new ways of achieving design solutions, completing tasks to deadlines and effectively utilizing resources to address project requirements Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting Meet with finish and furniture vendors Work with senior staff to articulate and develop initial ideas into working concepts, and actively participate in design reviews and charrettes

Qualifications & Experience:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design 2-3 years of experience, with a background in workplace design Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Proficiency in REVIT is required LEED and/or WELL accreditation preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be geographically located in the Dallas area for travel to active project sites

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
