THE POSITION
Are you seeking foundational level, yet highly impactful, investment operations work in an investment portfolio and trade support capacity? Do you have the experience and knowledge to perform the full range of work with primary duties involving the completion of treasury and custodial bank transactions as well as reporting on total funds / related liquidity? Then look no further! We are looking for a self-motivated, collaborative professional working in this capacity to communicate with internal management and external stakeholders. The Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS, www.psers.pa.gov), is an agency in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that administers the pension plan for Pennsylvania’s public school employees. The mission of PSERS is to maintain a financially sound System that supports over a half million members with a current pension fund of approximately $70+ billion. This position will play a contributing part in ensuring PSERS fulfills its mission and values.
PSERS is located in Harrisburg, PA, a mid-size city situated along the Susquehanna River. The Harrisburg area is affordable and near many attractions including Hershey, and it is only two hours from major cities and airports like Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position works within the agency Portfolio Support team of Investment Operations in a critical role coordinating assigned investment operations activities for the Investment Office of the Public School Employees’ Retirement System. Primary responsibilities include: completion of treasury related functions at PSERS’ custodian bank and reporting on PSERS’ total fund as well as the fund’s overall liquidity. In this capacity, the position will perform basic components within these functions with close supervision and coordination with other investment professionals.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: This position is telework eligible, dependent on operational and executive leadership requirements. All teleworking must occur within Pennsylvania. If requesting to telework, incumbent must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection at their Pennsylvania telework location.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ A Bachelor’s degree;or
+ Four years performing relevant investment operations or investment risk work;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
+ Successful completion of any of the following professional accreditations may be substituted for relevant work experience:
+ Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA): 1 year per level passed
+ Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA): 1 year
+ Financial Risk Manager (FRM): 1 year per level passed
+ Professional Risk Manager (PRM): 1 year
+ Certified Securities Operations Professional (CSOP): 1 year (only applicable to Operations positions)
+ Certified Treasury Professional (CTP): 1 year (only applicable to Operations positions)
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in finance or accounting
+ At least one year of experience creating/monitoring investment fund reports with data visualization tools which may include: liquidity forecasting/estimated significant cash flows and related settlement
+ At least one year of experience conducting treasury related function within custodian banking platform to move cash, securities, fund capital calls, etc.
+ At least one year of experience with the review/audit of investment fees, budgetary items, and related expenditures from custodian banks
