About the job:
Kent is seeking a Junior Land Surveyor to join their team in our Houston, TX office.
As the Land Surveyor, you will oversee and conduct laser scanning operations, ensuring accuracy and quality for various projects within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team of technicians.
Responsibilities:
Led and mentored a team of laser scanning technicians.Lead the collection of accurate 3D laser scan data on-site.Coordinate the processing of raw scan data into usable formats, such as point clouds and 3D models.Enforce quality control procedures to maintain data accuracy and reliability.Aid in developing project plans, and schedules, and coordinate laser scanning efforts to meet project deadlines.Ensure that resources, including personnel, and equipment, can adhere to timely and cost-effective project execution.Aid in providing updates on project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables.Serve as the project point of contact for clients providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure deliverables meet their needs.Work closely with end users to optimize their workflow and address their technical needs.Aid in the development and training of users on Laser Scanning tools, software features, shortcuts, and best practices.Stay updated on the latest Laser Scanning software developments and emerging technologies to provide proactive support.Aid in the integration of new tools and techniques into existing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization.
