Join our dynamic and fast-paced legal team as a Legal Counsel, supporting multiple markets and business units in Europe, including Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. Reporting to the Regional Counsel - EurAsia / IMEA / GTR & Eastern Europe, you will handle commercial, competition, regulatory, and privacy matters. This position is based in Warsaw, Poland.
This is an office/hybrid role - 4 days a week in the office.
What You Can Expect
● Commercial Support.
○ Review, analyze, and draft commercial contracts with customers and vendors in the Territory.
○ Support your business stakeholders in their contract negotiations.
○ Manage contract administration, including renewal tracking and filing.
○ Prepare correspondence, memos, presentations, and conduct legal research.
○ Assess and provide guidance on competition law risks.
○ Collaborate closely with business and procurement teams across the Territory.
● Corporate Maintenance.
○ Maintain corporate minute books, draft resolutions, and powers of attorney.
○ Oversee the timely filing of annual financial statements and other required reports.
○ Draft and track intercompany agreements and arrangements.
● Regulatory.
○ Monitor legal issues and regulatory changes impacting beverage alcohol products and business operations.
○ Communicate and recommend responses to local leadership in collaboration with the public affairs team.
● Compliance.
○ Provide compliance-related training on anti-bribery, competition law, and privacy.
○ Implement compliance-related policies, processes, procedures, and controls.
○ Act as a competition law expert for the region and work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement long-term competition strategy, developing guidelines, processes and training materials.
● Managing Outside Counsel.
○ Supporting the process of engaging and managing outside counsel in the Territory.
○ Budget management.
● General Legal Support and other responsibilities.
○ Advise on a broad range of commercial, competition, privacy, regulatory, and compliance matters.
○ Provide day-to-day legal support and business-focused advice to the sales and procurement organization.
○ Representing the company in the court proceedings and before state authorities
○ Acting as a strategic business partner being able to effectively communicate legal concepts to stakeholders
What You Bring to the Table
● Master’s Degree in Law .
● Legal counsel diploma or working towards legal counsel diploma.
● Preferably prior legal experience in the areas and job duties identified above (1-3 years) and in a multinational environment.
● Written and spoken Polish and English language fluency. Strong analytical skills to identify issues and prioritize pragmatic solutions.
● Great organization and time management skills.
● High motivation to achieve defined goals, sense of responsibility and engagement in the assigned tasks.
● Demonstrated self-starter with a high level of initiative to make independent judgments.
● Excellent interpersonal skills: building strong relationships and partnerships with colleagues and functional and business clients across the company.
● Strong persuasion, negotiation and collaboration skills, excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills with the ability to clearly relay complex information and give pragmatic direction and guidance.
● Creativity and flexibility.
● Optimism, enthusiasm and openness.
● Business and financial interest: keen interest in understanding the business, its strategic and financial goals, its ways of operations and its compliance and other risks, in order to be an effective business partner and risk manager.
