Junior Machinist, Vehicle Integration

As a Jr. Prototype Shop Coordinator, Vehicle Integration, you will be responsible to help organize the 3D Print Lab and Machine Shop. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and be excellent at multi-tasking.



The Role:

Understand the basics of 3D printers and machine shop tools Assess and maintain inventory of tools and consumables Maintain cleanliness and organization of the various shop spaces Keep track of maintenance and servicing of shop equipment (CNC machines, other machine tools, 3D printers, etc.) Handle shipping and receiving requests of shop supplies, as well as handling expedited shipping of special project parts Assist the Manager of each area with tasks relating to special projects Assist technicians with small tasks as needed Coordinate with facilities on maintenance and space updates



Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related work or project experience Experience with MS Office programs, with experience in Excel with pivot tables and formulas Ability to open CAD files and read drawings in order to understand what material to order for a work order Basic knowledge of different machine shop metals, including alloy properties Basic knowledge of different 3D print technologies Experience working with different cross functional teams Ability to multi-task by managing multiple project or tasks Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed



Advantageous:

Overdeveloped sense of accountability and ownership of issues SAP purchasing experience Ability to estimate part/project timing Familiarity with GD&T Experience operating machine tools Experience operating a variety of 3D printers and knowledge of print technologies
