We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Digital Content Creator to support our efforts to drive energy transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for content management and proficiency in the latest digital marketing techniques. They will be responsible for implementing, tracking, and optimizing our digital marketing campaigns across various channels. The role demands a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Our new Junior Marketing and Communications Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications and the position will be based out of our Salisbury, North Carolina office. Hybrid working arrangements are possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Support:
+ Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional platforms.
+ Conduct market research to identify target audiences, industry trends, and competitor activities.
+ Coordinate and manage content calendars to ensure timely delivery of marketing and communication materials.
+ Coordinate and manage events – tradeshows, speaking engagements and sponsorship events.
+ Manage the budget for digital marketing campaigns and ensure that all activities are within allocated financial resources.
Content Creation:
+ Coordinate with Senior Communications Manager on key messages and deliverables.
+ Create and edit marketing collateral, product brochures, PowerPoint presentations, social media content and website.
+ Collaborate with graphic designers to produce visually appealing content for campaigns.
+ Support MarCom team in proofreading material before internal and external distribution.
+ Work closely with the communications and marketing team to leverage the company’s website.
+ Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms and purposes.
Social Media Management:
+ Collaborate with Senior Communications Manager on company strategy including manage social media calendar.
+ Monitor, manage and optimize content for various social media platforms by creating posts, responding to comments, and engaging with audiences.
+ Analyze social media performance and recommend improvements based on analytics.
Communication Support:
+ Assist in drafting internal and external communications, including emails, announcements, and presentations.
+ Work with Senior Communications Manager to disseminate press releases and manage media database.
+ Assist with media intelligence research.
Event Coordination:
+ Manage and support the planning and execution of events, such as webinars, trade shows, conferences and sponsorships.
+ Coordinate logistics, materials, and promotional activities related to events.
+ Ability to travel.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
+ Track and report the performance of marketing campaigns using tools like Google Analytics or CRM software.
+ Utilize analytical tools to generate regular reports on key performance metrics, providing actionable insights for ongoing optimization, improvement and growth.
Collaboration:
+ Work closely with MarCom team, commercial teams, and other departments to align marketing and communication efforts with business goals.
+ Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings and organizing data.
Education, Certification & Qualifications:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
+ Relevant certifications in digital marketing, social media, or public relations are a plus.
Experience:
+ 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role (internships or part-time jobs are typically acceptable).
+ Experience in content creation or social media management is highly desirable.
Skills and competencies:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, SEO, and email marketing platforms.
+ Familiarity with social media platforms and their analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, X).
+ Creative thinking and attention to detail.
+ Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Team player with a collaborative mindset.
+ The ability to work independently and remain self-motivated.
Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
+ Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), is a plus.
+ Knowledge of CMS tools like WordPress and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp and Hubspot is a plus.
