Candidate will assist the Primary Network and Computer Systems Administrator to perform all Systems Administrator duties and integrate new technologies into an existing Air Force Synthetic Environment for Reconnaissance and Surveillance (AFSERS) environment. The candidate will be responsible for identifying/defining/isolating and resolving hardware, software, network, and operating system problems and provide over-the-shoulder training on configuration of specialized applications. Required knowledge in Networking (Subnets, VLANS, IPs, & Ports).  Prepares training materials and job aides for co-workers.  Develops system administration information to build a documentation library for knowledge retention and training resources for system operators.  Installs system upgrades and maintains custom GOTS/COTS software.  Archives operational and system state data.  Maintains configuration baselines.  Performs routine maintenance and support activities.  Assists with acceptance inspections and testing.  Performs system backups and restorations.  Optimizes system performance and resources.  Applies security patches IAW DoD/DIA standards.  Maintains local servers and other administrative systems. An additional function will be operating the AFSERS system to provide detailed visual simulations for training USAF Intelligence students.

Responsibilities Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems.Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.Sets up administrator and service accounts.Maintains system documentation.Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software; coordinates installation and provides necessary recovery operations.Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.Provides advice and training to end-users.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Qualifications

Required:

Associates degree with 2+ years of systems administration experienceCompTIA Security+ CertificationTS/SCI clearance

Desired:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer ScienceInformation Assurance level II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-MMilitary Intelligence and ISR familiarityNetworking experience About i3
