Starting pay for this position is $30.16 an hour

What You’ll Do
As a Junior Operator, you will load products on railcars and trucks. You will assist with the operation of the Ammonia Nitrate, Ammonia Prill, and utilities. Other duties will include:
Load product onto trucks and bulk railcars; operate heavy industrial equipment; interact as needed with truck drivers. Inspect trucks for condition prior to loading. Move railcars in preparation for cleaning and loading. Responsible for the inspection and care of railcars loading equipment. Sweep and/or shovel spilled product as needed; take steps to minimize product spillage. Operate loading pumps, loading systems, transfer equipment, troubleshooting equipment, forklift, and various valves, pumps, instruments, and testing equipment. Read various gauges measuring temperatures, pressures, or flows, records readings, and may make adjustments and/or minor repairs. Sample loaded trucks and railcars and bring samples to the lab for quality control. Read technical information and take appropriate action, based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Emergency Response Manuals, Safe Work Practices (SWPs), and other relevant technical manuals. Check and maintains lubrication of heavy industrial rotating equipment. Report deficiencies, incidents, and requests repairs/improvements to the Lead Operator. Make entries to Operator Logbooks and communicate operating conditions to his/her relief. Cooperate with and assist other plant operators as required during startups, shutdowns, and emergencies. Participate in shift turnover with incoming crew members on process equipment status, fills out logbook, and receives instructions. Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety. Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend technical data. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts (5:30 am to 5:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 5:30 am) This includes weekends and holidays. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, crawl, walk, carry and lift weights up to 100lbs. Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at heights over 150 feet Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to successfully obtain a TWIC card. Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
