There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. **Job Description** As a Junior Plant Engineer (m/f/d) you will be able to gain comprehensive understanding of the technologies and operations of various businesses in GE Grid Solutions, such as High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) and Alternating Current Systems (ACS). Over a 12-month period you will be assigned to the Control and Protection department. The role gives an excellent opportunity for you to learn cutting-edge technologies, apply your learning in real-life projects, either in R&D or project execution, and to build a network within an internationally recognised expert community in the renewable energy domain. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Your main responsibilities will be to design and layout high-voltage (HV) substations, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. + Collaboration with other engineers and support for project documentation and continuous improvement initiatives are also key aspects of this role. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + The candidate should ideally have electrical engineering or mechanical engineering expertise at graduate level or equivalent experience, but most importantly will have a good level of technical understanding of electrical hardware engineering principles. + The candidate should demonstrate an ability to think innovatively and apply engineering knowledge. + The candidate should have an enquiring mind and desire to learn new skills, an ability to apply different engineering methods and a willingness to share knowledge are essential qualities. + The candidate should have knowledge of software/tools/systems such as AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM, MS Office and Windows. + **Strong proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken) is a mandatory requirement for this role.** **Desired Characteristics:** + Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach. + Problem-solving and root cause identification skills. + Willing to listen, learn and support the development. + Able to work to deadlines with good quality. **About GE Grid Solutions:** At GE Grid Solutions we are electrifying the world with advanced grid technologies.
