We are seeking a Junior Process CAD/BIM Technician to join our team. Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. The successful candidate may be based out of one of our Prairies and Territories offices, in either Manitoba or Saskatchewan. We also offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements. **Your Responsibilities** Using your knowledge of drafting practices and CAD platforms you will work closely with other CAD Technician / Technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks: + Prepare engineering drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with Revit. + Ensure Revit, CAD Standards, Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production. + Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards. + Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others. + Prepare presentation graphics and report figures. + Generate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). + Develop 2D or 3D piping plans, models, and arrangements starting from P&IDs that schematically show the system and piping concepts + Prepare 3D models of equipment and piping systems. + Create and understand custom blocks (families) using Revit software. + Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines. + Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner. **Qualifications** **Capabilities and Credentials** + Effective communication/collaborative skills for working with single or multi-discipline projects, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere. + Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments. + Able to consistently produce high quality 2D drawings and 3D models. + Proficient with Autodesk products: Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD P&ID and/or Plant 3D. + The ability to interpret P&IDs to develop corresponding piping plans + Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office365 and Adobe Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam REVU, and Excel. + Experience in the following is considered an asset: + Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360 and ProjectWise. + Experience with process mechanical systems, wet infrastructure, and structural design associated with water and wastewater treatment plants and collection and distribution systems. **Education and Experience** + Technical degree/diploma/certificate in Civil Technology or related field. + 1-3 years of experience working in a consulting environment involved in the design of civil infrastructure. + Experience and familiarity with civil/municipal, urban development and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas Typical office environment working with computers. _This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice._ Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other's talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
