About the team
The Thales Hengelo organization is built around segments. A segment is responsible for assuring all activities relating to development and delivery of our products either direct to our customers or indirect to another segment that is responsible for delivering complete solutions to our customers.
In a segment Product Project Managers, Product Managers and Customer Project Managers cooperate with engineers, people from supply chain and colleagues from purchasing.
In this specific situation we are seeking a motivated and dynamic junior Product Project Manager (PPM) to join our team and to be responsible for development and delivery of one of our products. This role is perfect for individuals looking to advance their career in a supportive and challenging environment.
The activities for this junior PPM include new development, adaptation and delivery to (external) customer projects and working closely together with a senior Product Project Manager.
About the job
As Product Project Manager – Sensors you are responsible for setting up and executing product projects in close cooperation with your product team and Customer Project Management. As PPM you lead a (core) team consisting of the Engineering Delivery Manager (who is managing the engineering Work Package Managers), Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Project Manager, ILS Work Package Managers and Series Test Manager.
You are allocated to the segment Fire Control and you report to the Product Segment Manager. Within the segment one of the products is the STIR, a Fire Control Radar for the naval environment.
As junior Product Project Manager you:
Assist Senior Product Project Manager in the planning, execution, and closure of projects
Provide a controlled and predictable execution of the project
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders (product segment management, customer project management)
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Contribute to reviews, evaluations and product roadmap activities
Foster a collaborative team environment and promote continuous improvement
About you
You have experience with working in a technical environment and affinity with technical products. As Product Project Manager you:
Have 3-5 years of experience in Project Management
Have a good skillset and have knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Have the ability to overview complex situations and to manage multi-task environments
Have excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Are fluent in English
