Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to supervise shift team’s progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment, and assembly lines within a production area. Each day, you will provide regular feedback and make recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities, and possible critical situations. You will also showcase your expertise by cooperating with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environment and reinforcing production schedules and quality.The work model for the role is: #LI- OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion Business for System Drive Division in Nelamangala- Bangalore, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:Knows all safety and environmental rules/regulations that affect the work area. Ensures the operation is run in compliance with health & safety policies and guidelines. Leading capacity planning and resource optimization Identifying deficiencies in production, proposing improvements, and overseeing theirimplementation Completes assignments and projects assembly on time. Is accountable for personal andorganizational results. Maintains focus on Productivity improvement. Assists management and shift team in allocating, coordinating, and over-seeing shiftorders and work plan execution within production lines during the shift. Classifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements Serves as leader during shifts to oversee cooperation and the resolution oftechnical/quality problems and logistic issues. Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency and on time delivery. Lead a high quality, effective start of shift production meeting, ready to discuss allproduction issues, maintenance needs, etc. from the previous shift. Maintains awareness of current or potential process and/or equipment issues under theirarea of responsibility. Uses appropriate tools (WI’s, SOP’s, JIT’s, etc.) to establish and maintain a high level ofoperational and reliability discipline.
Qualifications for the role Diploma (E&E or E&C ) . Thorough understanding or the ability to quickly learn production operations. Excellent supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. proven track record in leading continuous improvements projects. Ensuring optimal efficiency in production methods, equipment performance andmaterials/components Identifying and implementing improvements to the Assembly process in line with cost,safety and timing requirements Investigating new methods, technologies and changes in equipment and process design tomeet specifications Defining action plans for relevant breakdown of equipment and training to productionresources
