Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional who is a team player with experience in an office setting. The ideal candidate is proficient at multi-tasking and can transition between tasks efficiently. The position involves daily support to the operations manager and general manager. This opportunity is part-time with the potential for full-time based on workload.

ResponsibilitiesAnswering phones and filingReviewing plans and specifications for our scope of work to bid onPreparing bids for upcoming projectsGathering material costsSoliciting bids and performing follow-up callsReviewing and confirming jobs pending filesAssisting with calls to customers with scheduled jobs to gather informationAssisting with inventory allocation and counting at month-endAssisting with warehouse organizationProviding general administrative support to the operations manager and general managerPerforming other duties and responsibilities as assignedEssential SkillsProficiency in current technology, including Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience in high-volume multi-tasking with the ability to manage various tasksStrong communication skillsSelf-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in the positionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with filing prelims, gathering certificates of insurance for jobs, and onboarding documents for contracts is a plusStrong people skills for speaking to contractors and vendors via phoneExperience with inventory managementSome construction experienceA minimum of 1+ years of experience in an office environment as a support personIntermediate Excel skillsBilingual in Spanish and English is a plus but not requiredAbility to lift 50 lbsOrganized and able to work within deadlinesDetail-oriented and a strong team playerWork Environment

This position requires spending 80% of the time in the office/warehouse and 20% in the field. The work hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM, with potential for additional hours. The company has a small, family-owned business atmosphere with a strong team that is fully invested in the growth and success of the company. The office team is experienced, and the operations manager has been with the company for over 20 years. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the company, with the potential to advance from a Junior Project Manager to a Project Manager. The company is a unionized 2nd tier contractor working with general contractors and other developers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
