Junior Research Scientist [Temporary] (Independent Contractor)

Job title: Junior Research Scientist
Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Scientist to join the Algorithms R&D department. The Junior Research Scientist will help advance image, audio and video capabilities in Wolfram Language using neural networks.
Responsibilities
+ Testing and evaluating neural network models for various tasks
+ Converting neural networks of interest to the Wolfram Language model or ONNX format as appropriate
+ Preparing the converted networks for submission to the Wolfram Neural Net Repository
+ Developing examples and workflows showing the use of the converted neural networks
Qualifications
+ Proficiency in English, with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong knowledge of neural networks and machine learning
+ Proficiency in Python
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative
Preferred qualifications
+ Previous experience with ONNX model conversion
+ Proficiency in or familiarity with Wolfram Language
Location: Fully remote and seeking candidates from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru
Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
